Tune In Tuesday-Lenny Kravitz “Let Love Rule”

This week’s song speaks to a different type of love – the kind we all need to embrace – love and caring for our fellow man! Take that kind of message and mix it with the absolute pinnacle in soul, funk, sexy, and rock and roll, and you get Lenny Kravitz. If you know, you …

Art Master Monday-Jackson Pollock

Jackson Pollock is most well known for his drip style, or splatter, paintings which makes him one of the most well known Abstract Impressionists. During this phase, he would attach canvases to his studio floor and use sticks, trowels, and/or knives to splatter and throw the paint – sometimes he would even pour it directly …

Tune In Tuesday-Social Distortion “Highway 101”

Time for another Rock and Roll love song!! And it’s from one of the best in the land – it’s Social D’s Highway 101!! The lyrics (below) and the song really speak for themselves, but you’ll find that there isn’t a lot of room for mushy, traditional love songs (outside of some Elvis and an …

Art Master Monday-Vincent Van Gogh

While not as strange and different as some of the Surrealists I’ve admired, one of my top favorites is Vincent Van Gogh. Several of his works are iconic and instantly recognized, but it’s some of the the lesser known ones that top my personal list. I am magically drawn to his use of bold strokes …

It speaks to major influences in his life, as well as the world, at the time. “The Persistence of Memory” with his famous …

Art Master Monday-Hieronymus Bosch

When I was in high school, a good friend introduced me to the works of Hieronymus Bosch. I was fascinated! I’ve always had a penchant for things that were different than what everyone else liked at the time – a strong streak of individualism in a world that praised mostly conformity.

Getaway House in Dallas

Adventures at Getaway House (Dallas)

When we said we were going ‘to the woods’ for a getaway, I was met with a lot of disbelief and ‘YOU GUYS??” reactions. I couldn’t quite figure it out – what did that hekkin’ mean? We are intelligent, self sufficient growns, so I couldn’t figure out why anyone thought us going to a cabin …

Getting Back to Good

Hey y’all! I’ve been a bit quiet lately due to all the crazy things going on. Not only are there Covid-19 impacts and possible mid-life crises stirrings, but also the loss of my amazing and beautiful soul of a big sister, Candy.

CBD Primer Series (Part 1) – Serving Sizes

How do I know how much to take?
That’s probably the most common question, but it may be the hardest to answer.
If anyone tells you that there is a ‘one size fits all dose’ with CBD oil, then you might look elsewhere.
It’s easy to “guestimate” a starting point, but only you can determine how much is effective for your situation. That question depends on two things, your own endocannabinoid system and the reason you are seeking a full spectrum CBD product.
