If this is your first visit to our site/page – Welcome!!
This is part of an educational series on CBD, and CBDBioCare’s processes in particular. It’s pretty long, but I hope it helps!! As always, please remember that I am not a doctor and do not play one on tv – while I do my best to validate all information that I share, it’s always best to always discuss any health related details with your personal doctor…

How do I know how much to take?
That’s probably the most common question, but it may be the hardest to answer.
If anyone tells you that there is a ‘one size fits all dose’ with CBD oil, then you might look elsewhere.
It’s easy to “guestimate” a starting point, but only you can determine how much is effective for your situation. That question depends on two things, your own endocannabinoid system and the reason you are seeking a full spectrum CBD product.
Anecdotally – Several users have reported that they felt like ‘it wasn’t working’ until they stopped taking it and some symptoms/pain returned. They then realized that the CBD effect had taken hold gradually. It’s not an instantaneous miracle cure (RUN from anyone that states otherwise!!), it’s a support for you body’s own mechanics.
You will see recommended servings on CBD bottles you purchase, however that serving is only a suggestion or general recommendation.
On CBD BioCare’s bottles, a full serving is approximately 24 drops and of course a half serving would be 12.
— Most people start with half and then increase or decrease as needed.
You may find that you take different amounts for different ailments.
— For example, you may take 24 drops for stress but just 12 for sleep or vise versa.
Expect your first bottle to be a bit of a test bottle to figure out what works for you individually.
— The first bottle allows you to figure it out before buying again.
— Once you have a good idea about what you need to get the best results you can choose the right concentration which will save you money.
How to take CBD
Most people find that the oils are the most effective and easiest to titrate as needed.
However, there are others that prefer capsule or gummy form.
The CBD in these products is the exact same, you’ll just need to understand the milligrams of active ingredient in a serving size and adjust accordingly.
Taking it sublingually (under the tongue) also allows for faster absorption.
Options available from CBD BioCare
Our Full Spectrum CBD Oil comes in five concentrations and two flavors, original and peppermint.
- 500 mg
- 750 mg
- 1000 mg
- 1500 mg
- 3500 mg
The company’s medical advisors recommend starting low and slow and increasing or decreasing as needed to achieve the desired results.
The goal is to figure out how much or how little you need to take to get results.
For example, if you begin with the 750mg and you find that you use a full serving, or about 24 drops, you could move to the 1500 and cut your serving in half.
This saves money and decreases the amount you need to consume.
How to read the labels and know how much CDB is in a serving
There are three different suggested levels of servings, Micro, Standard, and Macro, depending on the condition.
Everyone’s endocannabinoid system, (ECS) is unique, one size does not fit all. See more about ECS below.
Here is an excerpt from “CBD: A Patient’s Guide to Medicinal Cannabis–Healing without the High” by Leonard Leinow, Juliana Birnbaum, Michael H. Moskowitz.
Micro servings are considered a low level, in the range of 0.5 mg to 20 mg of CBD per serving per day. Micro servings can be helpful for sleep, headache, mood disorders, nausea, PTSD, stress, and metabolic disorders.
Standard servings are the mid-range, between 10 mg to 100 mg of CBD per day. Standard servings have been shown to be helpful for pain, inflammation, autoimmune disorders, Lyme disease, anxiety, depression, arthritis, some mental disorders, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, inflammatory bowel syndrome, autism, and weight loss.
Macro (or therapeutic) servings are at the high range, between 50 mg and 800 mg of CBD per day. Servings at this level are often used to assist with severe or life-threatening conditions.
A Primer on the Endocannabinoid System (ECS)
The Endocannabinoid system is known as the fourth regulatory system in the body.
Still, many well-trained physicians and medical professionals don’t know it exists because it wasn’t even discovered until the 1990’s. Israel Scientist, Dr. Raphael Mechoulam, an Israeli organic chemist and professor of Medicinal Chemistry at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel, is now known as the “father” of cannabinoids.
He states that each one of us has a unique endocannabinoid system that helps our bodies regulate appetite, sleep, pain, mood, memory, our immune system and so much more.
The ECS consists of cannabinoids and cannabinoid receptors. When cannabinoids such as CBD and THC enter the body the ECS system is activated because these molecules attach to these receptors.
There are two types of cannabinoid receptors, CB1 and CB2. When cannabinoids bind to these receptors they cause changes in how cells function.
• THC primarily binds to CB1 receptors – primarily found in the brain and are responsible for the intoxicating effects of marijuana.
• CBD primarily binds to CB2 receptors – found throughout the body and are responsible for a wide range of biological functions.
Your body and your ECS is unique and is not based on weight, therefore finding your right serving size is achieved through patience and a bit of trial and error.
There are dozens of reasons people just like us are looking to a full spectrum CBD product. Here are the most common reasons: Pain, Inflammation and inflammatory diseases, Sleep, Stress and Anxiety, Seizure / Tremors, Bone Growth, Anti-Bacterial, Auto Immune Disease, Diabetes, Neurological issues / disease
